It was a beautiful sunny day as Luna slowly opened her eyes to greet the morning. After the peaceful rest, Luna takes a big streach and a yawn then walks silently out of her den.

"I have just sent the loner Kovu out of the territory. You know the one that the clans talk about. He was spying on me. I sent him out but that tom... I have a feeling we'll see him again very soon." Kirara told her deputy.
She kept to her self that she thought he was particularly interested by him. But he was a no good loner. A disgrace. And that was all.

Luna thought about what her leader said for a moment, then told her about the roomer going around to all of the clans that her sister, Moon, was patroling her clans boarders and ran into that foolish tom, and how Moon slashed a HUGE gash across his eye, thinking it would teach him a lesson. Luna knew that Kirara was paying attection very closely to what Luna was saying, it may be useful to keep a very close eye on that mysterious tom.

Kovu, being confident and clever as can be, couldn't help overheaing their conversation. He was burrying a rabbit, outside the camp border, and thought giddily, "Oooh! Me? Cause trouble? Well, only if I'm in the mood. Well, I might be in the mood today! Who knows?" He finsihed burrying his rabbit and scampered up the large oak that branches overhung Kirara's and moon's conversation. He couldn't help but get involved. Picking his teeth with a rabbit bone, he purred, "Hmm. How do you think I'll get into trouble? I may, of course, take some fresh-kill, but I can't possibly to more damage than that."

"That is some helpful information. Thank you Luna. Keep your eyes and ears open for any sign of that mangy flea-bag." Kirara replied indignantly. "At the next half-month gathering, we must ask cats of the other clans more about this loner."

Kovu was so startled he almost fell out of the tree and onto Kirara. He caught himself at the last moment, and scrambled back onto his hidden branch.
"Oh no! Now all the Clans will be looking for me!" I whispered to himself.
What was a simple day eating a mouse in Riberei territory was going to turn into an all-out mun-hunt.

Kirara thought she heard something coming from the tree but ignored it. She walked away a feeling of suspicion in her stomach.

Kovu gulped. Maybe trees weren't such a good idea. It seemed every time he was in one all the cats around him knew he was there.

Kirara knew he was there but decided to make him think she didn't. Then when he wasn't ready, she pursue an attack. She felt fear coming off him in small, but definite waves.

Kovu's strength had never been power, more wits. And thats why he knew Kirara's plan. So he pretended to think she was gone when he jumped out of the tree, and when she pounced on him, there was a change of tables. Because he saw it coming he was able to wrestle her to the ground, and for once in his life, he was pinning her to the ground, not the other way around.

"Smart Kovu," she cooed mockingly. "You predicted my movements. Tsk, tsk, that will not do. I simply won't have it!" she roared as she swiftly bit down on his shoulder. But he didn't let go.

He wouldn't let go. Not again. He wouldn't let go until he was finally seen as something other than a stupid loner. "Smart Kovu." he repeated, "Smart Kovu."
